SportsPLAN Studio is currently assisting Completion Date: Phase I - 2015 Robert A. M. Stern Architects on an exciting tennis and squash project for the International Tennis Hall of Fame complex in Newport.
The complex features an historic McKim Mead and White casino, now a tennis museum, other historic buildings, lawn tennis courts, indoor tennis courts, squash courts, 3,400 seat Bill Talbert court and the Court Tennis facility built in 1880. Court tennis is the the game from which all racquet sports evolved.
Our work included programming, planning and design assistance for three new indoor tennis courts, three outdoor hard courts, two doubles squash courts with a spectator gallery, three singles squash courts and a clubhouse with locker rooms, pro shop, offices, meeting spaces and fitness center.
We have prepared details and specifications for the project, currently under construction.
