City of Kearney Kearney Patriot Park
Kearney Patriot Park - Kearney, Nebraska
"This park is to be recognized as one of the best youth sport tournament venues in the Midwest."
- Steering Committee Vision Statement

In 2015, the City of Kearney selected the team of SportsPLAN Studio and The Clark Enerson Partners to lead the planning and design of a $7.2 million, 170 acre complex of youth sports fields and related support facilities. The complex has been named Patriot Park to recognize Armed Services Veterans and to acknowledge the site’s history as a World War II Army Airfield.

SportsPLAN Studio conducted a programming and planning workshop of community leaders and stakeholders and prepared a master plan for development of the park in two phases. The team is preparing bid documents to begin construction in the fall of 2015.

The Phase One project is planned as two sets of fields separated by a landscaped plaza to include a gateway entrance, park pavilion, play spaces and spectator services. The second phase has been planned to add soccer fields or four slow-pitch softball fields.
