Hendrix College Wellness/Athletic Center
The Wellness/Athletic Center, one of three Division 3 schools to be included on the Princeton Review list of the top twenty collegiate athletic facilities is the cornerstone of a 160-acre Academic Village.
"We talked to several of the national sports consultants, and their clients before we found Joel Leider and SportsPLAN Studio...Our Architect was very comfortable with Joel and it was clear that SportsPLAN would perfectly complement our project team."
-Tim Cloyd, Ph.D.,
President Hendrix College
(addressing the Trustees)

Hendrix College and Kirchner Architecture selected SportsPLAN Studio to guide the programming for a 100,000 square foot Wellness/Athletic Center and the planning for a 22-acre complex of varsity sports and intramural fields.

SportsPLAN Studio assisted in the planning and design of the project, and prepared drawings and specifications for all of the sports and recreation features including sports flooring, telescoping seating, climbing wall, lockers and gymnasium equipment.

SportsPLAN Studio also designed the gymnasium court graphics, prepared pro forma operating budgets and prepared specifications, budgets and layouts for all of the Ownerprovided equipment.

An icon marking the entrance to Hendrix College, the Wellness/Athletic Center was dedicated in September 2007.
