SportsPLAN Studio has prepared an Athletic and Recreation Master Plan for a 90-acre site at Prairie View A↦M University. We began our work by conducting a series of interviews with faculty, students, staff and alumni to understand and measure facility requirements. We documented planning and design criteria and produced facility concept plans for twelve new athletic or intramural facilities. For our second campus planning workshop, SportsPLAN Studio prepared 14 alternative development plan concepts and guided President Wright’s executive committee in an evaluation process to select and finalize the preferred scheme. The showcase project in the first phase of improvements is a 15,000- seat football stadium with new athletic department facilities, expandable in future years to 30,000 seats.
